Many people look to an English country church to provide grace, beauty, romance and a sense of tradition for their wedding.  A church can provide a wonderful backdrop and atmosphere for a couple to make their marriage vows to one another, and to dedicate their relationship to God in an atmosphere of prayer and worship – to look for his guidance, strength and support that make all the difference to a relationship.

Herefordshire has many truly beautiful church buildings, both in its towns and countryside, but few can rival Eastnor’s location and setting.  In addition to looking wonderful, it is easily accessible from the motorway network via junction 2 of the M50, and the picturesque market town of Ledbury with its hotels, inns and guest houses is no more than a couple of miles distant.

Nor should we forget that the church is also on the doorstep of probably one of the finest wedding venues in the country.  Eastnor Castle.  (For more information about the wedding services offered by the castle, their website can be found at:

In brief, The Church of St John The Baptist, Eastnor, provides seating for approximately 150 guests – though we’ve hosted weddings with a few more than that !

The church can be heated for those atypical English summer days and for wonderful winter weddings.  An extra warm glow can also be generated from the many candles which we are happy to light for you on request.  A wedding by candlelight really has to be seen to be appreciated, although we do have a few photographs on this site of how the church can look.   Beautiful.

Eastnor has a good and experienced organist to help with music at the service, and an experienced team of bell ringers are always delighted to peal out the news of your impending vows.
